ABOUT THE PROPERTY:

Suitable for 4 to 6 persons. Two bedrooms (100sq.ft. and 150sq.ft.) total floor space of 1000sq.ft.

On the ground floor the gite has a modern fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a fireplace, a closet and a toilet.

Upstairs there are bedrooms, a bathroom with bath, shower and toilet and a mezzanine overlooking the living room.

Outside, on the south side of the building there is an eating area with a barbecue. On the opposite side there is a garage for your car.

POOL:

All visitors to Marsan have free use of the swimming pool that is in the garden and overlooks the beautiful surrounding woods and fields. The pool is 13 metres by 6 metres and was built in 2002 to the latest standards.

The water quality is maintained by an automatic system that ensures chlorine levels are optimised for clean, safe and comfortable bathing. The site of the pool means that one can swim from early morning until late in the evening.

The pool house has a changing room, toilet and shower as well as a barbecue. A range of garden furniture including sun loungers is provided.
A lockable security fence surrounds the swimming pool.

Please note there is no lifeguard at the pool and the safety of children is the responsibility of their parents.

KITCHEN:

Washing machine, tumble dryer, dish washer, fridge and freezer, microwave, cafetiere, toaster, food mixer, cooker, crockery, kitchen utensils, bedding, household linen , TV/video with satellite channels, ironing board, iron and vacuum cleaner.

LINEN NOTES:

Each bed has a bedspread, blankets, pillows, sheets and a mattress cover.
We can provide a cleaning service for a charge.

BABY FACILITY:

If you need a cot or high chair for a baby we will provide them at no extra cost.

ACTIVITY EQUIPMENT:

Badminton, petanque, table tennis, billiards and quilles, a local game of skittles, are also available.

LOCAL AMENITIES/ATTRACTIONS:

The commune of Parleboscq has a baker's shop and a restaurant. This small commune of 500 people also has 7 churches, some sadly in disrepair but nevertheless very beautiful.

Four miles from Marsan is Gabarret, a village of 1300 inhabitants, which has a bank with a cash point and a garage. There are also shops including a bakery, butchers, pharmacy, hairdressers, paper shop, tobacconist, greengrocer and general grocery. There is also a medical centre. Gabarret has some very interesting houses and a beautiful church.

Eauze, 8 miles away is a town of 4500 inhabitants. It is also known as France's other capital city as it is known as " La Capitale de l'Armagnac" It is a charming town with many architectural features including a stunning cathedral. Most services are here including a good sized supermarket and each Thursday morning there is a large market at which one can buy just about anything including fresh local produce.

Barbotan is a spa town about 6 miles away with many restaurants and shops and a market that is held each Wednesday morning in summer.

The gites are well insulated and heated by an oil boiler.
Wood is available free of charge for the fires.
