ABOUT THE PROPERTY:

Vila Margarida is a real taste of luxury. Not only does it have its own private heated pool and hard surface tennis court it has wonderful gardens and lovely airy spacious accommodation.
The villa has 4 bedrooms, 2 double with en-suite and two twin, all on the ground floor. 3 of the rooms have French doors opening onto the pool terrace, the fourth has a large picture window looking out to the orchard area.There is a third 'family' bathroom.
Upstairs there is a large lounge and seperate dining room both opening onto a huge sea-facing terrace with 2 large dining tables, one covered and the other open to the sky. The whole terrace and the living rooms behind have spectacular views of the sea and cliffs overlooking Luz Bay.The lounge also has sat TV,video,DVD,CD/radio/casette.
There is also a large kitchen with dishwasher and an upstairs cloakroom.Vila Margarida has maid service every week-day.
Outside next to the pool is a splenid, bar/BBQ/outdoor kitchen with sink with hot and cold water, fridge with small freezer, BBQ and 2 ring gas hob. Ideal for outdoor living and dining.

POOL:

The pool is approx 10x5m with gentle steps at one end.
It can be heated at an additional charge of £100/week if required. If pool heating is required and the pool is not heated the preceeding week we can arrange for the heating to be switched on in advance of your stay to reach temperature for your arrival at the additional charge of £60.

PATIO:

The pool terrace is large and well equipped with sun-loungers. There are areas of shade as well as large open areas.
The first floor terrace has both covered and open areas and has 2 large tables and seating.It has great views to the sea and cliffs overlooking Luz BaY.

GARDEN:

The garden is a delight. It is approx mature and runs to approx. 1 acre and is lovingly tended by our regular gardener. It has a lawned area, flower beds and specemin plants. There is also a large orchard area with oranges, lemons, tangerines, grapefruit, loquat, apples and even a banana palm.
The whole garden is fenced and there is a gate to the driveway.
The tennis courty also lies within the garden.

PARKING:

There is s long driveway with ample parking at the villa and a car port adjacent to the front door.
The driveway is gated.

KITCHEN:

The kitchen is well equipped and spacious and decorated with traditional Portuguese tiling.
It has a gas cooker,large fridge/freezer,microwave,dishwasher,toaster,kettle etc.

UTILITY AREA:

There is a locked maids room with washing machine. the maid will do a load of washing for you as requested.
There is an outdoor drying area behind the villa with washing line.

DINING AREA:

There is a dining room with circular table and doors leading to the first floor terrace. Outside on this terrace there are 2 further dining areas, one covered for shade and the other open.Both are fitted with tables and chairs.
In addition there is a lage table and seating in the poolside BBq area.

LIVING/LOUNGE AREA:

The lounge is large and airy. It has comfortable seating, sat TV/DVD/video, CD/radio/cassette and a bookshelf witha range of books.
There is also a log burning fire, great for winter rentals.

BEDROOMS:

There are 4 bedrooms. Two double, both ensuite and two twins.
One double and the two twins have patio doors to the pool terrace. The other double overlooks the orchard.
All bedrooms are on the ground floor.

CLEANING INFORMATION:

There is regular maid service (most weekdays for all but winter rentals).

CHANGEOVER NOTES:

Our change-over day is Thursday.Outside the main season (March-October) we canb usually be flexible about this and within main season it may be possible to vary this particularly for late bookings.
The villa is available for guests use from 2pm on the first day of the booking and must be vacated by 10am on the final day.

LINEN NOTES:

Linene is changed weekly. Towels for use within the villa are provided, but guests should bring their own for pooolside and beach use.

PET NOTES:

Sorry, no pets allowed.

BABY FACILITY:

Cot hire can be arranged for £22/week and high chair hire for £7/week.

ACTIVITY EQUIPMENT:

There is a hard surface tennis court within the garden for the sole use of guests. It is orientated North/South to avoid the glare of the setting sun.

LOCAL AMENITIES/ATTRACTIONS:

Praia da Luz is a lovely family resort and the beach at Luz along with many bars,restaurants and shops are an 8 minute walk or less. The beach is long and sandy and ideal for families and backed by a lovely tree lined prom, great for an afternoon stroll and a drink at a beach bar! All the bars and restaurants are family friendly and you can take your pick from casual relaxed beach bars through bistros to more formal fine dining.The historic town of Lagos, a 10 minute drive away, has numerous restaurants, a beautiful marina, nightlife and historic ruins. It is also a lovely place for an evening stroll around the bustling streets with street entertainers, atrists and vendors.
If you choose to hire a car there are numerous places of interest within a 30 minute drive, castles, water parks and zoos, forts, marinas etc

BOOKING NOTES:

A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required at booking with the balance payable 8 weeks before the start of the rental period.
We can accept payment in Poubnds Sterling, euros or US dollars by bank transfer or cheque.
We can accept payment bt credit card via paypal, but would levy an additional charge of 4% for any payment made in that way.

GARAGE NOTES:

Whilst there is a garage at Vila Margarida it is not available for guests use as it is used for storage.

BATHROOM/ENSUITE:

There are 2 full bathroomss, both en-suite to the double bedrooms. They both have full bath, over-bath shower,basin,bidet and toilet.
There is also a shower room with shower cubicle,basin,bidet and toliet off the main hallway.
All 3 bathrooms were compeltely refurbished in early 2006.
There is also an upstairs cloakroom with toliet,basin and bidet.
