Gite near Cahors in SW France
The Chezming gite is a fully-equiped and self-contained apartment on the groundfloor of a beautifully-restored stone house on the edge of the medieval village of Catus. The house and garden borders a stream, which is fenced off and is completely safe for children.
This is an area that enjoys thickly wooded forests as well as wide open spaces and is well-known for its local food and the famous dark red Cahors wines. There are many picturesque villages in the area and many of the main tourist sites that you find in guide books on the Lot, Dordogne Lot & Garonne and Aveyron are less than an hour away by car.

ABOUT THE PROPERTY:
The gite has private parking space, a private patio with BBQ and access to a large and secluded garden with outdoor games for adults and children. The house and garden borders a stream, which is fenced off and is completely safe for children.
There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. A baby cot is available. The lounge has a window that overlooks the stream and large French windows that have open views across the garden and beyond. The kitchen area has a washing machine and is fully-equipped for cooking. Physically disabled guests will find that there is easy access to the gite and its facilities. It is a smokeless zone indoors and we regret that we do not accept pets.
The Catus village centre is less than five minutes walk away. There is a small well-stocked supermarket, post office, bakery, butchery, greengrocer, newsagent, café/bar, bar/restaurant and a weekly market on Tuesday mornings in the main Boulevard throughout the year. There are two doctors and a pharmacy. A cash-dispensing machine (Credit Agricole bank) accepts most credit/debit cards.
