ABOUT THE PROPERTY:

In the hills of a natural park, 10 minutes from the A20 motorway and market town of Cahors, this well-equipped stone, former farm building offers you a place to relax from the strains of modern life.

A tastefully renovated old stone farm building sleeping 4-6 people in a mezzanine double bedroom, a smaller twin room and a double sofabed in the living room.

Enter via the courtyard and private covered terrace into a well-equipped kitchen with a kettle, toaster, coffee percolator, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, oven and hob.

Access the ground floor shower room and large living room via the kitchen. The living room has an impressive fireplace with Godin wood burner and beamed ceilings as well as comfortable seating and a dining table. A corner staircase leads to the upstairs bedrooms which also have beamed ceilings. Access to the smaller twin bedroom is via the double bedroom.

There are fans in all bedrooms and the living room. There is a portable airconditioning unit available to rent separately.

The private outside terrace is well equipped with a BBQ, a wooden table and chairs and a parasol.

Includes private parking, conservatory, outside terrace with BBQ, gas central heating, wood-burning stove, hi-fi, DVD and video players, ipod charger linked to hi-fi, English and French television with English radio and access to a communal washer dryer.

A selection of videos, books and DVDs are available from the owners if required.

For your comfort, charges include bedding, towels, t-towels, hairdryers, an iron and ironing board, dustpan and brush, a broom and communal vacuum cleaner.

A cot, baby bath and highchair together with a mattress protector, sheet and cotton blanket are available on request. We recommend that they be reserved at the time of booking.

You have access to a 2.5 acre hilltop garden with endless private secluded areas and a childrens play area with swings, sandpit and chalet.

An 11x5m saltwater swimming pool with large sun terrace takes advantage of the amazing views across the valley and hills. The pool has roman steps at the end of one side to provide easy access - these are prefect for sitting on to keep cool and marvel at the stunning views. Poolside sunloungers, tables, chairs and parasols are available as well as a table tennis table and solar shower. The pool and terrace are shared with the owners and second gite. The pool is situated a short distance from the buildings so that noise from the pool does not disturb others.

An initial basket of firewood is provided for rentals between 1st October and 31st March. Prices for these dates include heating, electricity, water and all linen.

A warm family welcome awaits you. Shopping can be organised for your arrival and the owners can help with restaurant recommendations and bookings.

The gite contains a folder full of useful information, such as the location of the nearest tourist office, contact details for local taxi firms, doctors, restaurants etc, local things to see and do as well as information on the gite itself.

Great care has been taken to balance maintaining the old, traditional buildings with providing modern comforts. The property should provide you with everything you need for your perfect holiday. A feedback book is provided for your comments and the owners are on hand to deal with any minor niggles.

UTILITY AREA:

You share a washer dryer with the owners. This is located in the large garage and is accessible from 1200-1800 Tuesdays and Thursdays. For insurance reasons the garage may not be left unlocked without supervision hence these times when the owner will be on hand if you wish to go out.

CLEANING INFORMATION:

The property is cleaned for your arrival. We ask that you leave the property and contents in the state in which you find it. The rental includes a general cleaning after your departure however excessive cleaning such as burnt hobs, ovens etc will be charged at 10 euros per item. This is to cover our cleaning time costs.

CHANGEOVER NOTES:

Changeover day is Saturday. Out of the main season (July and August) we offer flexible changeover dates so please contact us. We also offer long weekend deals.

Keys and the facilities are available to you after 1600 on the day of arrival. We ask for departures by 1000 please. These times provide us with the time needed to clean the two gites and pool.

LINEN NOTES:

Linen, towels and pool towels are provided for your comfort. Please do not take the 'shower' towels to the pool area. Guests staying two weeks or more may request a linen change on the middle Saturdays for a small charge of 10 euros per bed. Towels are not changed during your stay

PET NOTES:

We do not accept pets.

BABY FACILITY:

A travel cot complete with mattress protector, sheet and cotton blanket is available together with a baby bath and high chair. We advise that you reservce these at the time of booking as they are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
