ABOUT THE PROPERTY:

Shangrila Park is a quiet complex of about 136 villas and is situated towards the lighthouse area of Playa Blanca. There is a hotel about a 10 minute walk away where you can go for a meal or a drink and a small supermarket, a couple of bars and a couple of restaurants about a 15 minute walk away.

This villa is a 2 bedroomed detached property which sleeps up to 4 people and comprises of a lounge with tv/video and radio/cd player, a dining room, a fully fitted kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster and iron and board, main bedroom with double bed and built-in wardrobe, second bedroom with two single beds and built-in wardrobe and bathroom with bath with shower over, bidet, toilet and wash basin. An outhouse is located at the rear of the property where there is an automatic washing machine. Outside is a patio area with table and chairs and steps leading up to a large roof terrace where you have lovely views over to Fuerteventura.

There is a communal swimming pool and tennis court on the complex.

We would recommend car hire for in order to make the most of your holiday. Car hire is cheap on the island and driving is easy as the roads are good and there is not too much traffic on them. Cars can be picked up and dropped off at the airport which then saves you on taxi fares and you can explore the island at your leisure.

A good selection of shops, bars, restaurants and beaches are all about a 5 minute drive from both villas. The harbour is also only a 5 minute drive away and from here you can catch a ferry over to the island of Fuerteventura.

Playa Blanca was once a small fishing village in the most southerly tip of Lanzarote, Playa Blanca has developed into Lanzarote's third resort.

Playa Blanca is the most recent development, with a beautiful new promenade along the sea front. Despite being a recent development every effort has been made to match the traditional with the modern and as one will see, it has been a great success.

A recent development in Playa Blanca is the Marina Rubicon. Located close to Papagayo, at the eastern-end of the resort, Marina Rubicon is a sea front development of upmarket restaurants and designer boutiques positioned next to a beautiful Marina of luxury yachts and boats. Here at the water's edge you can sit back and sample either the local or international cuisine that is on offer.

Not far from the Marina lie the Island's most spectacular beaches - Papagayo. These beaches are accessed via dirt tracks and there is a small entrance fee. There are multiple beaches and coves to choose from. However, it is worth noting that this part of the Island is untouched, therefore public facilities, such as toilets and refreshments are limited. There are regular boating trips to this part of the Island and this is one place definitely worth a visit.

Also there are numerous restaurants and bars and if you feel up to it you can always take the ferry to the neighboring island of Fuerteventura. The trip takes just fifteen minutes on the hovercraft or forty minutes on the ferry and is a fabulous excursion.

PARKING:

Parking is available around the outside of the complex, this makes the complex very safe for children.
