ABOUT THE PROPERTY:
Eversleigh Woodland Lodges is a small and friendly group of six pine lodges and heated indoor swimming pool set in a woodland clearing in the quiet Kentish village of Shadoxhurst, near Ashford. It provides an ideal base for touring and visiting the many attractions in the area or for just relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside.
The lodges are fully fitted and furnished to the highest standard and have been awarded 3 stars under the English Tourism Council Quality Inspection Scheme.
Each lodge provides a lounge, kitchen/diner, shower room with shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin, and sleeps up to 4 people in 1 double bedded room and 1 twin bedded room. The lounge is fully carpeted and furnished with comfortable settees, coffee table, colour television with selected SKY channels, and radio cassette player.
The kitchen/diner is fitted with antique pine units with electric hob, oven, fridge and microwave. All cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware are provided as well as kettle, toaster, coffee machine iron and ironing board. There is also a laundry room with washing machines and tumble drier. Bed linen is provided and cots and highchairs are available on request (1 per lodge). All the lodges are heated by electric panel radiators making them suitable for all year use. Each lodge has its own patio with garden furniture and barbecue and there is ample parking nearby. All our lodges are non smoking and no pets are allowed, making them suitable for those with asthma or allergies.
In the grounds there is a heated indoor swimming pool which is open seasonally from Easter until the end of September. There is also a children’s grassed play area and a games room with football tables and table tennis.
Ashford is conveniently situated with easy connection by rail and motorway to London and the Channel ports and tunnel. This area of Kent has many interesting National Trust properties and historic attractions. Ashford has a futuristic Designer Discount Factory outlet with over 100 shops. Outings to Canterbury and Leeds Castle are possible as well as Howletts and Port Lympne Zoo Parks which house the late John Aspinall’s rare and endangered animal species and historic mansions. The White Cliffs Country area of Dover is nearby.
Railway enthusiasts will enjoy the steam trains from Tenterden to Northiam and Bodiam and also the famous Romney Hythe and Dymchurch narrow gauge railway which runs along the coast.
