ABOUT THE PROPERTY:

This magnificent farm house which forms the centrepiece of the farm has been equipped as a self-catering gite to accommodate up to 14 people. There are 6 en-suite bedrooms, a large dining kitchen and a salon in the style of the 18th century. The entrance hall leads to an open stone staircase. The ground floor is paved throughout in Caen Stone. The fully equipped kitchen/dining room which can seat 14 at the large kitchen table has a wood burning fire in the original fireplace. The salon, carefully restored and decorated in the colours and the styles of its period also has a wood burning fire in its carved stone fireplace. The private garden and patio are accessed from the salon via French windows.

The First Floor comprises of a double bedroom (en-suite WC and shower), twin bedroom (en-suite WC and shower) with room for a third bed, and a Family Suite of two twin bedrooms with room for a third bed in the larger one. An En-suite WC and shower is located between the two rooms. The Second Floor (with all original oak beams exposed) comprises a Lounge area, double bedroom (en-suite WC and bath with shower) with room for a third bed, and twin bedroom (en-suite WC and bath with shower). In the Kitchen, the following equipment is provided: fridge freezer, dishwasher, large gas cooker, microwave, toaster, iron, kettle, coffee maker, crockery, tableware, cooking utensils, glassware, and cutlery. The Maison has central heating throughout.

LINEN NOTES:

Pillows and duvets are provided. Bed linen can be hired at £6 per person per week. Towels are not included.

LOCAL AMENITIES/ATTRACTIONS:

We cannot hope to provide a comprehensive list of all the things to do within Normandy, but whether you want peace and tranquillity, a serious round of Golf, or high octane thrills, this region has something for everyone.

There is a new aquatic centre and leisure pool in the town of Falaise, just five minutes from Domaine de la Hamberie. Open seven days a week throughout the year, it includes flumes and slides as well as saunas and steam-rooms, so everyone can enjoy the visit.

Bungee jumping may not be for everybody, but Calvados offers an amazing experience at AJ Hacketts Adventure Park, to the south west of Caen. It includes the huge Bungee Jump as well as Scable runs and Tree hopping. Click on the photo of the Bungee Platform to enter the interactive website.
