ABOUT THE PROPERTY:

In tranquil, rural countryside near uncrowded, sandy beaches, 20-30 minutes from Faro Airport.
Pool terrace and two roof terraces.
Sleeps up to 6 in three bedrooms - 2 twin bedded with bathroom downstairs and one master bedroom (king size bed) with large shower room upstairs. Cot available.
Large 10 x 5 metre swimming pool. Level terraces at ground floor level provide easy access.
Maid service and welcome pack with wine.
Suitable for children.
Landscaped garden. Property securely fenced. Hire car advised.

POOL:

The pool is spacious at 10 x 5 metres. Level terraces at ground floor level provide easy access and surrounding terraces are screened from the local road and are easily accessible from the spacious lounge.

GARDEN:

The well-tended garden borders the villa and makes a lovely backdrop to the pool and barbecue.

KITCHEN:

The large, modern and friendly kitchen has a gas/electric hob and electric oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher, and there is a washing machine in the kitchen annex with ironing facilities. But don't worry, a maid will call weekly to clean the villa and do the laundry for you!

LIVING/LOUNGE AREA:

The cool, tiled floors and marble staircase are special features, along with colourful oriental rugs. For stay-insides, there is satellite television, VCR and Hi-fi, but the pool and terraces invite a relaxing pace of life outdoors. There is a barbecue and furniture for outdoors dining. The Algarve has one of the best sun records in Europe, yet rarely gets oppressively hot.

BEDROOMS:

The villa is fully equipped for sleeping 6 people in three comfortable bedrooms. Two are 2 twin-bedded rooms(one, as shown on left, opens out to the pool terrace), and the upstairs master bedroom has a double bed with adjoining shower room, and opens out onto its own private terrace.

LOCAL AMENITIES/ATTRACTIONS:

Visit the daily markets at Fuzeta and Tavira, and especially at Olhão, and view farm and sea produce in stunning variety. So many sorts of fish, squid and shellfish piled up for sale - and so cheap! Buy some to create that special dish you saw on television.

Shops are within easy reach of Casa de Amêndoeira, and although English is spoken widely, you can practice your Portuguese, even if is only a "Bom dia", in the local mini mercado (village shop as shown on the Links Page) a short walk up the road. For a wider selection beyond Moncarapacho just drive the few extra kilometres to the charming towns of Olhão or Tavira where you will find everything you may need, including restaurants, craft shops and large supermarkets (just like home, but probably alot cheaper!). For more sophisticated shopping visit Faro and its fashionable shopping malls.

For golf lovers, championship-level golf courses are nearby; the closest is the Campo de Golfe at Colina Verde, opened in 2003 and just 10 minutes away, and the Benamor at Tavira (20 minutes away); while the other world-renowned courses in the Algarve are easily accessible via the IP1. This motorway is now a truly pan-Algarve super highway - great views and not choked with traffic like the M4! So it's easy to make day trips anywhere in the Algarve.

The Ria Formosa, now a National Park (covering 17,000 hectares) with protected wildlife, is this area between the coast and the outer shore line and is home to rare plant and bird species. It's well worth visiting in its own right!

BOOKING NOTES:

All our prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are for the rental of the whole villa per week - not per person.

The villa sleeps a maximum of 6. Discounts are available for occupancies of 2-4 persons. Prices include the villa rental, electricity, gas and water charges.

Swimming pool and grounds maintenance, weekly maid service, laundry, a welcome pack, including wine, on arrival are also included in the villa rental. Dates are 'night of', so if you are arriving on a Saturday afternoon for one week then that is your starting day, while your last day (to include the night of) would be the next Friday, with your departure the following day. If your stay spans different months the charge depends on the days falling in each of those months.

Please note our charges have risen by a maximum of only GBP£50. Some months remain the same as last year! **Discounts for 2-4 people during off peak**
