ABOUT THE PROPERTY:

Apartamento Azul is a modern, extremely spacious and tastefully furnished apartment right in the heart of the lovely family resort of Praia da Luz.
It has 2 bedrooms and can sleep up to 6 people plus cot.The double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and dressing area and its own private sea facing balcony. The second bedroom is a huge twin bedded room with ample space for an additional 2 beds to be used if required for a larger family (2 folding beds supplied). There is a second, 'family' bathroom off the large entrance hall.
The lounge/dining room is huge, light and airy and has balconies to front and rear aspects. the front balcony is sea facing and the rear overlooks the pool and has a BBQ and table and chairs.There is a sofa-bed which can be used to sleep 1 or 2 people instead of the folding beds if wished. The lounge also has satellite TV and DVD, CD,radio,casette and a large dining table. The kitchen is modern and fully fitted with large fridge/freezer, washing machine etc.The main living/dining room and both bedrooms are fully air-conditioned.

Apt Azul is in a small development of only 8 apts sharing a sheltered, secluded pool and stunning roof terrace. The roof terrace has magnificent, panoramic views to the sea, mountains and village. It is a wonderful spot for sunbathing!
Sun-loungers and foliding chairs for poolside, balcony or roof terrace use are supplied.
There is a communal garage with electric code operated door and within that Apt Azul has its own lockable garage with garage door for 2 cars.

Praia da Luz is a lovely family resort and the beach at Luz along with many bars,restaurants and shops are a 5 minute walk or less. The beach is long and sandy and ideal for families and backed by a lovely tree lined prom, great for an afternoon stroll and a drink at a beach bar! All the bars and restaurants are family friendly and you can take your pick from casual relaxed beach bars through bistros to more formal fine dining.The historic town of Lagos, a 10 minute drive away, has numerous restaurants, a beautiful marina, nightlife and historic ruins. It is also a lovely place for an evening stroll around the bustling streets with street entertainers, atrists and vendors.
If you choose to hire a car there are numerous places of interest within a 30 minute drive, castles, water parks and zoos, forts, marinas etc

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at booking.
Payment can be accepted in Pounds sterling, US dollars or Euros.
A refundable breakage deposit of £250 is required and is collected along with the balance payment 8 weeks before the start of the holiday.
Cot or high chair hire can be arranged.

Winter rates vary dependant on occupancy, £200/week for 2 people increasing by £50 per additional person per week.
For winter lets of 3 weeks or more we can usually offer a special rate, please contact us for a quote.
We can accept payment in GB pounds,US dollars or Euros

POOL:

The pool is within a walled terrace area. There are steps to enter the pool, but it should be noted that the pool has no shallow end and children under the age of about 6 will probably (depending on height) not be able to stand in the pool.

PARKING:

There is a 2 car lockable garage for Apartamento Azul within the garage area accessed by automatic door.

KITCHEN:

The kitchen is modern, bright and very well equipped. It has a large fridge with good size holiday freezer, gas hob and electric oven, microwave, washing machine, kettle and toaster.
There is a good supply of crockery,glasswear,cutlery and cooking utensils, plus plastic plates ,cups etc for poolside or children's use.

DINING AREA:

The dining area has a large table with 6 chairs.
There is also a plastic table with chairs for dining on the balconies.

LIVING/LOUNGE AREA:

The lounge is light and airy and has balconies to both front (sea facing ) and rear (overlooking the pool).
It has 3 sofas, one a sofa bed. There is satellite TV,DVD,CD/radio/cassette and a bookshelf with a range of books.

CLEANING INFORMATION:

The maid visits twice a week and linen is changed weekly.
Towels are provided for use within the apartment, but guests should bring their own towels for poolside and the beach.

CHANGEOVER NOTES:

Change-over day is normally Saturday, but we may be able to alter this in some situations. Please contact us to ask.

All bookings commence at 2pm on the first day and end at 10am on the final day ie. the apartmenbt will be available for you to occuipy at 2pm on arrival day and must be vacated by 10am on the day you leave.

LINEN NOTES:

Linen is changed weekly.
Towels are provided for use within the apartment, but guests should bring their own towels for poolside and the beach.

PET NOTES:

Sorry, no pets allowed.

BABY FACILITY:

Cot hre is available at £22/week and high chair hire at £7/week.

LOCAL AMENITIES/ATTRACTIONS:

Apartamento Azul is very centrally located within Praia da luz and is therefore only minutes walking distance to many shops, bars, restaurants, bank, chemist, internet cafe etc.
The lovely sandy beach with its palm tree lined prom is only 5 minutes easy walk.

There are many golf clubs within a 30-45 minute drive including Penina, Palmares, Parque de Floresta. The closest excellent course, Boavista, is a 5 minute drive.

The nearby town of Lagos, 10 mins drive, has a lovely marina and many beaches. It is very livel;y in the evenings with street performers,stalls etc as well as many bars and restaurants and some night clubs.

Within a 45 minute drive are many atractions:
The spectacular West Coast beaches with their breakers ideal for surfing and body boarding.
2 water parks.
A zoo.
Zoomarine-a marine wildlife and entertainment park.
Sagres and Cape St Vincent. The most South Westerly point in Europe and historic nautical centre.
Silves.The ancient capital of the area with a castle and cork factory museum.
A large modern shopping centre at Guia.
The beautiful Monchique hills and the spa town of Caldas de Monchique.

If preferred payment can be made by credit card via Paypal, but thsi would be subject to a surcharge of 4%.
