Gites la Colline, two lovely holidayhomes in a renovated old stone barn on the edge of La Chapelle Salamard, a tiny village in the southwest of the Correze. Mirabelle sleeps 5 and is open all year; Les Noisettes sleeps 4 and is open from May till September. Livingroom/equipped kitchen, 2 large bedrooms, showerroom, wc. Terrace with beautiful view over valley with pastures and woodland. Large garden, swing for the children. Quiet surroundings, all shops, restaurants and a famous Sunday market only 3 kilometers away. Lots to see and do.

ABOUT THE PROPERTY:

The medieval village of La Chapelle Salamard, in the Corrèze in the south west of France, is the perfect place for those seeking peace and quiet. On the border of the hamlet we have converted an old stone building into two comfortable holidayhomes, Mirabelle and Les Noisettes.
From Calais to Gites La Colline is 760 Km. The village is just 15 minutes away from the A20 and the A89 at Brive-la-Gaillarde. Nearby airports: Limoges, Bergerac and Bordeaux.

Mirabelle and les Noisettes each have a surface of 75m square.
The ground floor has a living room with equipped kitchen. Upstairs you will find two large bedrooms, a bathroom (shower and handbasin) and a separate toilet. Heating is electric (energy consumption is included). Guests have a private terrace with stunning views over meadows and forrests. In daytime you can see as far as 15 kilometres, at night there are unnumerable stars.
Children can play in the large garden, for them there also is a swing. We also have a `terrain de boules` for playing pétanque.
Pets are allowed.

Equipment:
Television. Fully equipped kitchen with fridge and gas cooker/oven, microwave.
Mirabelle has a two person bedroom (bed 160x200) and a three person bedroom (3 beds 80x200). Les Noisettes has two two person bedrooms (bed of 160x200; two beds 80x200). Duvets (all 140x200), matress covers and pillows are provided, but we ask you to bring your own linen. We offer the possibility to rent the linen for 5 euro per set per week. A baby bed is available. There are laundry and ironing facilities. Heating is electric. Water, gas, electricity is included in the rent.

Only 3kms away from Gites La Colline lies the village of Objat, with its shops, restaurants and famous Sunday market. To visit: Donzenac (medieval village) Yssandon (view), le Saillant (swimming and canoeing in the river the Vézère), Uzerche, Arnac-Pompadour (National Stud, donkeyday on July 14th, castle), Brive-la-Gaillarde (shopping). Rocamadour, Turenne (castle), Collonges-la-Rouge (redstone village, the castle of Hautefort, Castelnau-Bretenoux, the towns of Sarlat-la-Caneda and Perigueux, caves as Gouffre de Padirac and Lascaux II, gardens of Marqueyssac and Eyrignac and Les jardins de l`Imaginaire. In July and August there are markets in the early evening where one can buy products from the region (meat, trout, cheese, bread, wine) and eat `sur place`, often with live music. The beautiful countryside of the south-west Corrèze is excellent for walking and many of the footpaths are signposted.

When you want to cool off there is the Lac de Poncharal near Vigeois, swimming pools in Objat and Juillac (July and August) and for paddling a small river at the bottom of our hill.

Gites La Colline have obtained two stars of the Office du Tourisme of the Corrèze.

Fridge with freezer, micro-wave, gascooker with oven, kitchen utensiles.

UTILITY AREA:

In the utility area you will find the barbecues and the wahing machine. You can also `park` your bicycles there.

BEDROOMS:

Mirabelle: two bedrooms. One with a bed of 160x200, the other with three beds of 80x200.
Les Noisettes: two bedrooms. One with a bed of 160x200, the other with two beds of 80x200.
All matrasses are 80x200. Duvets and pillows provided. You can either bring your own bedlinen or rent it.

CLEANING INFORMATION:

Cleaning is included if you leave the gite tidy.

CHANGEOVER NOTES:

The chargeover day is Saturday. You can arrive after 4 p.m. and leave before 10 a.m. the next Saturday. In off season other changeover days are possible.
