Dating from 1896, Borovets is today the biggest and most modern resort in Bulgaria, offering excellent value for money, a vibrant nightlife, good skiing and a host of activities for those not venturing on the slopes!
Situated at 1350m above the sea level on the northern slopes in the pine forests of the Rila Mountain, Borovets has a gondola lift, four chair lifts, nine drag lifts, plus several nursery slopes and English is widely spoken in this value for money resort. A perfect location for groups and families alike, the climate is also considered to be healthy with the winter being mild and receiving plenty of snow from mid December -April.
Only 90 minutes from Sofia and 126km from Plovdiv, Borovets is easily accessible and has an excellent ski school. It also has a purpose built 1,240 metre snowboarding track, a 10 km cross-country track and a ski jump.
