Fivizzano is a medieval town of only 10,000 inhabitants. Extending from the Appenines to the Apuan Alps, it is the widest village of Lunigiana.
Fivizzano
The local economy is mainly based on the agriculture and on the marble-mining activities and on the activity of numerous paper making industries.
Considered the Florence of Lunigiana, stylish Fivizzano has plenty of character and the local people always extend a warm welcome. The popular International Music Festival runs from the last Friday in August until the first Sunday in September and features a variety of performances - from solo guitar recitals to urban dance, from modern music to folk.
