With spectacular surrounding countryside and only one and a half hours from Granada by car, Pitres is located only 65 km from the Tropical Coast.
Pitres and the Sierra Nevada mountain range offer skiing in the winter as it is the only area in southern Spain were you will find snow from November until February, and has all of the amenities needed from places to eat and drink to supermarkets and banks.
During the summer there are lots of outdoor activities on offer such as mountaineering, climbing, mountain biking, horse riding, and para-gliding.
Pitres has the benefit of being as beautiful as its neighbouring towns, but much less touristic. Pitres Fiesta occurs the second weekend in August.

Pitres Holiday Rental The house, in the village of Pitres, is in the Sierra Nevada mountains of Andalucia in southern Spain. Casa de Luz has 2 floors, the upper being the living space of 250sq m. The restoration has kept all the original beams and stone ceilings, and has maintained the finishing style, while creating a well appointed and equipped house. The ground floor was the original working part of the house which has been left largely intact except for the creation of an internal patio with a small pool and bodega for whoever rents the house to relax in and enjoy.
