The typical beaches in Costa de la Luz are an attraction to wind surfers and surfboarders alike because of the often strong Atlantic winds.

One of the most popular day trips is to Seville, 2? hour's east of Islantilla. Seville is the fourth largest city in Spain, a mix of Roman, Jewish, Moorish and Christian architecture. And the best thing is that all the major sights are packed neatly into one square mile. La Giralda is Seville's oldest and most elegant skyscraper, and from there you get an incredible view of the entire city.

If you want to eat out the fishing village of La Antilla serves really good food and the seafood is fresh from the Atlantic.
