West Wales
With the Pembrokeshire Coast National park occupying almost all the coastline there are plenty of opportunities for the avid walker to walk along the coastal path and admire the rugged coastline and spectacular cliffs.
The Pembrokeshire coast includes the offshore islands of Skokholm, Grassholm and Skomer (boats run daily here (expect Mondays) from Martins Haven between 1st April and 31st October) as well as Caldey Island which is located off Tenby. New Quay - 'Cei Newydd', is an excellent base - its picturesque houses, pubs and restaurants above the blue waters of Cardigan Bay offer a perfect location for a family holiday.
