Sea World
Sea World is a popular park, both educational and entertaining, whilst being concerned with conservation and research.
The park, which opened in 1973, includes exhibits, shows, as well as visitors being able to feed and touch the marine life. Probably the most popular attraction is Shamu and the Shamu Adventure. Others include Terrors of the Deep, Journey to Atlantis and the Sea Lion and Otter Show.
Discovery Cove
Discovery Cove is very near to Sea World. With the waterfalls and beach huts, it closely resembles a beautiful, remote island.
The entrance fee and an hour's swim with Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins is expensive, but this is an ambition in life for many visitors. Some do not wish to swim, but just visit the park, and, therefore, the admission charge is much cheaper.
Gatorland
At Gatorland, there are thousands of aligators. Tiny babies to very large adults are part of the breeding and rearing programme.
Splendid China
Splendid China was opened in 1993 and consists of 76 acres. It is a copy of a similar park in China.
Visitors can tour the park to see models of Chinese landmarks, one being the Great Wall which consists of 6 million bricks.
Lake Toho
Lake Tohopekaliga (known locally as Lake Toho) is home to many species of birds and animals; eagles nest here, herons and ospreys.
Take advantage of a boat trip around the lake or a peaceful picnic on the shores.
