Located approximately 55 miles south of Tampa Siesta Key is connected to Sarasota by two bridges.

With everything for a restful visit, Siesta Key has a buzzing tropical atmosphere, with the world’s finest refreshingly natural, white sand beaches, where the sand is composed almost entirely of pure quartz.

Siesta Key offers something for all tastes and interest from touring historic sites and museums to excursions on the water including kayaking, sailing, and fishing. Dolphins and manatees play in the warm Gulf and bay waters. Pelicans, cranes, egrets and shorebirds are plentiful here.

Be sure to experience the Siesta Key Drum Circle, held almost every Sunday evening about an hour before sunset on Siesta Public Beach, when a creative collection of beach goers sporting drums, cymbals, maracas, come together for spontaneous rhythm entertainment.
