Iskar 3 B&B is set in a beautiful area of Vratsa and the Balkan mountains and is close to the Iskar Gorge and Mezdra. Mezdra has excellent rail link to all areas of Bularia and is great for tourism with amazing monasteries and churches, the views are stunning. It is also the home of Ledenika beer which is well worth a taste.
Vratsa is home to the Thracian treasure (gold)w hich includes the Golden Mask of a Thracian king a 2400 year old mask and the Panagyurishte Treasure held at the museum and well worth a visit. It also has the Ledenika cave (Ice cave) There are several halls with wonderful formations, the most impressive being the Concert hall (60 m long, 46 m wide and 22.7 m high) which has a fantastic acoustics. It has hosted a lot of concerts. Vratsa aso has some of the best rock climbing in Bulgaria. The Iskar Gorge - as it is commonly known - is a true pearl in the tourist necklace of Bulgaria. It is a natural miracle carved out of the stone breasts of the Stara Planina. For thousands of years the waters of the Iskar River have dug their way into the rock, carving out forms of incredible shape, which have impressed every visitor.
