About the hotel

Moor House, built in the Victorian era, and situated an easy, short walk from the beautiful Portreath harbor and beach, is a haven for those who enjoy a restful home-like atmosphere in a newly restored Cornish cottage close to all the splendor that is Portreath.
With its own extensive park-like gardens and stream, Moor House offers guests the ultimate in relaxation. Visitors can relax on the patio, play a game of croquet or sit in one of the summerhouses after a restful night in one of the well-appointed guest bedrooms.
Breakfast, served in the breakfast room, or the patio if guests wish, is catered especially to the guests. A menu card allows guests to select just what they want, how much they would like, and when they would like to have it.
For a day at the beach, picnic baskets can be arranged at a separate fee. And, for those wanting a special romantic weekend, guests can arrange for all the lovely little touches that will make their weekend very special.
Guests who travel by air can arrange to be collected at the Newquay airport. Those traveling by rail can arrange for collection from the Truro or Redruth stations. For those traveling by motor, ample parking is provided. Guest’s cars can be left at Moor House during their stay if spending the day at Portreath beach.


ACCOMMODATION
Moor House offers well-appointed guest rooms with the comfort of the guests always in mind. Each room offers a television, ample wardrobe space and tea or coffee-making facilities. Hairdryers, guest robes and other amenities are available upon request.
THE VICTORIAN ROOM
The Victorian Room offers a king-sized bed, soft sheets and a relaxing colour scheme. A private bathroom is provided.
THE COUNTRY ROOM
The Country Room has a lovely king-sized bed and a warm atmosphere with cozy quilts and soft sheets. This room shares a shower room with the French Room. (If the French Room is not occupied, the shower room is private.)
THE FRENCH ROOM
The French Room, for those wanting a single room, offers an antique French bed and a soft, restful colour scheme. Like all the bedrooms at Moor House, tea and coffee making facilities and a colour television are provided.
