We are delighted to invite you to our beautiful home in the heart of the island of Gran Canaria, where we offer affordable bed & breakfast accommodation for the adult 'rural tourist' throughout the year.

Both of us are English and Spanish spoken (Jen native to UK and Mig to Spain) and are ready to tailor your holiday the way you want it. Whether that's scuba diving on the south coast of the island, paragliding, mountain walks or just relaxing in a tranquil setting with a good book and a 'mojito'. We want you to enjoy your well-earned holiday just the way you want to.

FACILITIES:

The house boasts large, newly furnished bedrooms that comprise of one double and one twin bedded room, accommodating four people comfortably, with two bathrooms, one on each floor.

Breakfast is included in your stay and we also provide alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks, lunch and/or dinner for a small extra cost.

(A complimentary bottle of wine will be included with your meal).

RECOMMENDED:

As we are situated away from the usual tourist destinations we do recommend that you hire a car to fully benefit from what's available on the island. The simplest way is pre-booking online with recordrentacar as they usually work out slightly cheaper to some of the major competitors and are also based within the airport for easy pick-up and drop-off.

If you are thinking of hiring a car, the roads are very similar to those in the UK.

LOCATION & AREA:

Los Avellanos c.18th century is a typical Canarian style house that sits on the side of a valley 600m (1,970ft) above sea level, approximately 3kms from the historical town of Teror (pronounced Tear-oar (Tear as in bear), which is reputedly the prettiest town in Gran Canaria.

A regular coach (bus stop across the road) can take you into Teror (3km), or further on to Las Palmas (22km), where you can find excellent shopping and Las Canteras beach which is 4km long and holds the coveted blue flag.

We are 10km from Arucas with it’s world renowned rum distillery and 26km from the highest point of the island - the peak of Pozo de Las Nieves (1,949 metres above sea level).

The airport is situated in Telde which is 36km from Teror and because of the winding roads through the mountains it takes around 40 min by car. (But it won’t seem that long)!
