About the property
Frankincense villas is an exclusive development of two luxury traditional stone villas with superb pool specifically designed for excellent swim while looking at mountains in all directions. People have spent many enjoyable hours swimming, playing and enjoying these facilities.
Situated in a relaxing and and quiet loacation with beautiful mountain views all around. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind in our lovely garden and leave all stresses and strains of modern life behind. Situated away from busy tourist locations.
Each house (110 metres sq.) has been designed to high specification: air conditioned master bedroom with en suite facilities, 2 twin bedrooms, and separate shower/toilet room. Fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, full oven and hob, large fridge/freezer. Separate dining area, comfortable living room with an open fireplace.
Turkish mobile phone available for calls. Music system, TV to watch DVD's and wide range of DVD's for whole family. For entertainment there is a music system and plenty of family and adult board games, to suit all ages. Our villas are non smoking.
Outside shared facilities (shared only with our other villa)
90 square metre (16 metres length) swimming pool with views over the mountains. Lovely stone barbeque. The villas have been enjoyed by everyone who has stayed in them. Here is some guest feedback.
"The villas are set against the stunning backdrop of the mountains they are beautifully furnished. The small attention to detail such as board games, pool furniture and the CD players make it home from home and allowed us to provide our own entertainment.
The people in the village are friendly and will try and help as much as possible, we even had one lady who brought us freshly baked warm bread one afternoon whilst we were in the pool.
I think the villas allow people to experience Turkey as it really is. We all enjoyed our stay very much and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is looking for a holiday of total relaxation."

Pool Notes
We are extremely proud of our swimming pool, it bring us great joy and pleasure.
It is 16 metres in length and absolutely ideal for people who enjoy doing lengths.
I enjoy the view tremendously while swimming.
We have a few jacuzzi jets at one side of our pool, not full jacuzzi.
We hope everyone enjoys our pool.
We have supplied sunbeds, umbrellas and small tables.
Patio Notes
We ask you to relax and enjoy our splending view of our pool, garden and surrounding unspolit countryside, including spectacular mountain views, from our patio.
Each villa has a large patio, that runs the full length of our villa at the front,with 3 archways made from traditional stone stucture of our house. Really unique.
We have french doors leading from the kitchen and master bedroom leading straight out onto thr patio.
Shaded for most of the day. You can see the sun rising from the front of our patio, a beautiful sight to see.
I enjoy reading books or having a meal on our patio enjoying superb view.
Garden Notes
We have a large enclosed garden, which is ideal for children to enjoy and there is enough space for both villas to be occupied but still feel each person has enough space to enjoy the garden.
There is a rockery at the front of the garden and we are delighted to have Frankincense trees growing on our plot. They only grow in a few places in the world.
We have a covered seating area which is great for relaxing in during day, to be out of sunlight. People who have stayed in our villas have found this seating area one of the things they enjoy most about our villas.
I like to read, but also enjoy sitting in the cush at night having a good conversation.
We have fields surrounding our property in all directions.
We have one other house next door that is also made from traditional stone.
Parking Notes
There is a parking area for each villa and a stone pathway leading to either Villa A or Villa B.
We have a large garden front and back so there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves.
Kitchen Notes
We have a fully fitted kitchen in each villa, gas oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, fridge freezer, and plenty of cupboard space.
There is also a stone BBQ area for use by both villas.
Dining Area Notes
We have a dining table and six chairs in each villa, for indoor eating, we have also provided a table and six chairs for dining out on our patios for each villa.
Living/Lounge Area Notes
The villas have been built with local stone, high wooden ceilings and are cool in the summer months.
The villas are light and airy due to large windows and patio doors in the property.
Furnished and equipped throughout to a high standard.
We have a spacious open planned living, dining and kitchen area, it is ideal for people to spend quality time together. Plenty of seating room for 6 people to comfortable enjoy the villa.
This is your chance to taste the real Turkey but also having all your luxury in one villa.
Bedroom Notes
Each villa has a double master bedroom which is air conditioned. Master bedroom has ensuite facilities and patio doors leading onto our patio with views over our garden, swimming pool and mountain views.
Each villa also has two further twin bedrooms, with free standing rotating fan.
Because our villas are made of stone the villas are a lot cooler than most brick houses.
All our bedroom are spacious and have wardrobes with drawers, and side table.
There are also good view from every bedroom window.
Games Room Notes
We do not have a specific games room, however, for your complete relaxation we do not have a television.
We have a music system for people to listen to CD's and have supplied a wide range of family board games for all ages. Guests have loved playing these on our patio. There are also a number of books for people to read.
Cleaning Notes
The villas are fully cleaned before your arrival. Please leave villas as you find them.
We would ask that all bedding is left on beds and cleaner will remove, please place towels in bathroom.
Changeover Notes
Our changeover days tend to be on Mondays or Fridays but we can be flexible, if required.
Linen Notes
Bedlinen is provided for each villa.
We also provide one towel per person.
Please bring your own pool/ beach towel.
Pet Notes
There are no pets allowed in our villas.
Activity Equipment Notes
We have supplied some equipment for our wonderful swimming pool, and also outdoor playing equipment, such as badminton, skittles etc.
We also have an easel for painting/ drawing.
The stars around our villa are so clear most nights so have bought a telescope for people to enjoy this beautifull sight, or possibly could be used for spotting the occasional eagle who may pass by.
Local Amenities & Attractions
We are situated in a working village and we have a number of fields surrounding villas, for your complete relaxation, the local people often offer us items from their trees or locally grown produce.
Amenities within the village of Ortakoy, a short walk away, a few village shops selling basic provisions and Bekir, the shop owner, is very welcoming. There is also a small hospital and a Turkish restaurant.
Spend a day at the most picturesque beach in Turkey at Olu Deniz, with shallow and beautiful lagoon for real relaxation. Or enjoy the 16 kilometres of protected, white sandy beach at Patara. It is completely unspoilt, with no tidal current, so it is ideal for children to safely swim, a real gem!
There are a number of quality restaurants a short drive away, one in particular is on an island between 2 rivers and has fantastic locally caught or farmed trout, you eat the meal sitting over the river. I really enjoyed the ambience. Alternatively there is a wine house in another village where the atmosphere is relaxed and the food is very pleasant.
Fethiye, an ancient and bustling town, with magnificent natural harbour, lovely sea views, and wonderful promenade with bars and restaurants, a great place to watch the world go by is only 40 minutes drive away. There are plenty of restaurants and a variety of shops. I enjoy this variety of souvenir, leather, carpet and gold shopping.
Turkey is extremely good value for money. Whether you are visiting the large weekly market in Fethiye or their many shops, which remain open until late into the balmy evening. You can expect warm and welcoming Turkish hospitality, refreshing apple tea is often served while negotiating prices!
You will find Turkey to be a very child friendly and safe environment, with low crime rates. They have play areas including a trampoline area in Fethiye near to the port or quiet areas for you to relax and enjoy this lovely environment.
Fantastic delicatessens, their cakes/sweets are pretty scrummy. The quality of food is to a very high standard.
A visit to a traditional Turkish bath (Hammam) is well worth a visit.
A trip to a Turkish Barber is also a real treat for a haircut or shave, so I hear. Many men come to Turkey, unshaven or needing a haircut to experience this
Additionally you could explore the variety of activities within the surrounding region, the spectacular Saklikent Gorge, where you can go river rafting, trekking in the mountains or enjoying the scenery. Visit the many interesting archeological sites. Purify the mind and body with a traditional Turkish bath. Having tried this for the first time recently, I have to say this is a real treat.
There is plenty of spectacular countryside close to the villas, which can be easily explored by foot or jeep, watch out for the tortoises in the middle of the road! As well as wildlife, we even have turtles swimming at the bottom of our boundary.
Our villas are ideal for people who like to walk, as the fantastic countryside provides wonderful walking for all levels and abilities. To get the best out of a walking holiday we would suggest you plan your holiday in Spring or Autumn.
There is an aqua park at Calis, fun for all of the family.
All around us are great painting opportunities, we have an easel for customers use, the scenery changes so much from season to season so please select a time that suits you. You may want Spring flowers, early season, poppy fields in May or cornfields to paint in September.
We would suggest car hire to see the great scenery and range of activities. Or for a true taste of Turkey travel on the local dolmus buses, a real treat (bus stop close to villas). For a more adventurous time you can arrange scuba diving, paragliding and canyoning trips.
Boat trips, as well as 12 island boat trips there are also a wide range of day boat trips available, taking you to beautiful coves, sailing on a wooden gulet. It is a real treat to have the engine turned off and sailing under the sails and wind as we did recently on a trip to Gocek, 2 stops for a swim in secluded areas. Great scuba diving from Fethiye with European Diving School to suit all levels, comes highly recommended, see our villa feedback.
A number of people choose Turkey as a destination to get married, on a boat for example, the family can stay in the villas afterwards, the bride and groom can head off for an exclusive gulet cruise, as one idea for a memorable wedding.
Camel Trek, in the heart of nature, in authentic and traditional Kayakoy, a day trip on a camel can be arranged, passing through fields, village houses seeing the Lycian rock tombs and mosque, seeing the area from quite a different aspect.

A booking form will be sent to you, which once returned with terms and conditions signed, 30% deposit paid and confirmation received, the villa dates are confirmed and booked.
Balance payment to be paid with £100 breakage/cleaning deposit, per villa at least 8 weeks before departure.
Check in time 4pm check out time 10am.
Breakage deposit will be returned once keys returned to owner and villa checked.

There is a large ensuite from the master bedroom, with toilet, sink, shower and bath.
There is one other good sized bathroom in the villa which has a toilet, sink and shower.
