The French Granary is perfectly located for exploring the wine trails and vineyards of the Loire-Valley, southern Brittany, the historic cities of Nantes, Rennes and Angers and is only 60 minutes from the "chic" seaside beach resort of La Baule, regarded by many as the St. Tropez of Brittany and the Atlantic coast. Local facilities include, Golf, Sailing, Fishing, Tennis, Horse-Riding & Racing. Nestled in the heart of the countryside and only a short distance from any one of the many inexpensive restaurants where you are able to sample one of the worlds most famous classic dishes "Chateaubriand".

Our Lovingly converted barn with it's own Private Indoor Heated Swimming Pool, Jacuzzi and optional Sauna situated in a haven of peace and tranquility just 1k from the local village of Erbray and ten minutes drive from the historic market town of Châteaubriant in the Loire-Atlantique, southern Brittany.

Open all year, fully centrally heated and comfortably accomodating up to ten guests. Sympathetically restored and retaining much of it's original charm, yet fully equipped to meet the demands of modern day living. Boasting five Bedrooms, three Bath/Shower Rooms, large Lounge with wood-burner, widescreen French & English satellite TV, Bose media Centre DVD & Hi-FI, video and PS2. Separate Dining Room and Kitchen with all modern appliances including 2nd colour TV, Miele W/Mashine, Bosch Dishwasher, Fridge Freezer, Oven, Hob, Microwave, Expresso/Cappuccino Machine, Raclette etc.

The extensive private landscaped gardens feature a covered Indoor heated swimming pool complex reached via a 10 metre gravelled path. It houses a large 10 x 5 metre indoor heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi and pay as you use Sauna. The garden also boasts an (unfenced) Koi Carp Pond, an illuminated BBQ Terrace, decked sunbathing patio, childrens play area with full size table tennis table, badminton court and garden games. All facilities are strictly for your own use and not shared by any other guests for the duration of your stay. Come as a family or bring your friends and make The French Granary your very own private French holiday destination.

Patio Notes

There is a wooden decked patio in front of the pool room, furnished with sunloungers, sun umbrella and table. Perfect for those looking to pick up a tan or relaxing after taking a swim or jacuzzi.

Living/Lounge Area Notes

The Gite is well stocked in terms of "home entertainment" Apart from Satellite TV, Video and Hi-Fi there is also a huge selection of board games for both adults and children and an extensive DVD & Video film library with over 500 movies to choose from and watch on the latest BOSE MEDIA CENTRE DVD Cinema system. Please note that although the Videos are free there is a nominal charge for DVD rental.

Cleaning Notes

Please note that the Gite should be left in the condition that it is is when our Guests arrive - In order to maintain our high standards we make a compulsory 60 Euro end of holiday cleaning charge - payable upon departure.

Changeover Notes

Changeover days are Saturday 4pm to the following Staurday 10am during the high and mid season. During the low season we can make alternative arrangements, please contact us with your proposed dates and we will see what can be done!

Linen Notes

We can supply bed linen and bathroom towels. Please inquire for rates.
We DO NOT supply beach towels and ask that you kindle bring your own. Thank you.

Pet Notes

Our apologies - we cannot accept any pets for the time being.

Baby Facilities Notes

We supply free of charge 1 cot, 1 high chair, 1 baby bath, 1 changing mat, steriliser, 1 child relaxer. We also have available for hire 1 pushchair. If furtehr equipment is required for additional small children these can be supplied at cost - please inquire for rates.

Activity Equipment Notes

There are some activity edvices availableand included. Badminton, Full size otside Table Tennis table, Childrens Games, Trampoline, Croquet and Boule. We also have available for hire : Bikes, Golf Clubs and Air-Conditioning Units.
