Casa Mesquita Alta is perched on a hillside with lovely views of the valley below and to the sea between the hills of the Cerro do São Miguel. Though just two years old, the house has been built in a traditional style, using antique and reclaimed materials and thus offers the best of both the new and the old. It is situated close to the market town of São Brás with its hinterland of hills, and to the historic village of Estoí. With four bedrooms on two floors, Casa Mesquita Alta is ideal for larger families, for bringing the grand parents (baby sitters)

The house is on two floors, with the lounge having an airy, double height, cane-and-pole ceiling. The bedrooms offer views over the pool, the gardens and the valley. There are four bedrooms sleeping a maximum of eight people. On the ground floor, there is one double and one twin bedroom which share a bathroom. There is also a seperate cloakroom. On the upper floor, there is a mezzanine that overlooks the lounge and dining room, two twin bedrooms (one en-suite) and an additional shower room.
The house is very well equipped throughout. The kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and coffee-maker. There is a laundry adjacent to the kitchen with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. There is an open-plan dining and living area with shuttered windows, air conditioning and central heating, keeping it cool in summer and warm in winter.
There is a shaded seating and dining area looking out over the gardens and the valley below. From most areas in and around the house there are unrestricted panoramic views over the valley and hills. The pool and terrace area has a small amount of lawn, ideal for children.
