About the property
LOCATION
The picturesque hamlet of Le Helleguy can be found in the department of Morbihan, southern Brittany, close to the river Blavet. Situated in a stunningly beautiful rural location, in the heart of the Blavet valley, the hamlet is surrounded by landscaped gardens, fields and woodland. The nearby friendly village of Quistinic is 3kms away, where local supplies can be purchased from the bakery, general store, pharmacy and bar tabacs. The larger towns of Bubry (6km) and Baud (12km) from the hamlet offer a much wider variety of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars etc. Our local bar/creperie is a leisurely 2km stroll from the hamlet, here a delicious variety of crepes can be tasted and the friendly Breton hospitality sampled. Le Helleguy’s ideal location also offers easy access to many nearby medieval and historic towns (e.g. Josselin, Auray, Vannes) and tourist attractions (e.g. Poul Fetan, Camors Adventure Forrest). Beautiful sandy beaches are less than 40 minutes drive away (30 minutes to Port Louis at Lorient), where a host of beach and sporting activities can be found.
CHANGEOVER DAY
Saturday is the changeover day during the Peak & High seasons, however this is negotiable at all other times.
BOOKING DEPOSIT
A non refundable deposit of 25% is requested to confirm a booking, submitted together with a completed Booking Form. The balance is due eight weeks prior to arrival.
LINEN & TOWELS
Quality bed linen & towels are included in the cottage rental price. HOWEVER, please note that we do NOT provide Beach Towels.

Whilst on holiday why not pamper yourself? Relax in our tranquil surroundings and benefit from receiving Holistic Massage, Reflexology and Beauty Treatments of your choice. Qualified on site practitioners Neil & Tricia Young, are able to offer a variety of treatments during your stay at Le Helleguy. Alternatively, treat yourself to a dedicated ‘Indulgence Break’ during Mid and Low Seasons. All therapies & treatments booked on the Treatment Booking Form and submitted, together with your final balance will receive a 10% discount. HEATED SWIMMIMG POOL Positioned in the old orchard with mature trees and landscaped gardens, the 12.2m x 6.1m heated swimming pool is for the exclusive use of guests staying at Le Helleguy. A retractable telescopic shelter is used to cover the pool at night & to provide sheltered swimming out of season or should there be inclement weather.
WELCOME PACK
Pack Prepared for your arrival will be a Welcome Pack containing a generous selection of Breton food provisions and cleaning essentials to minimise the materials you need to bring with you. This includes: French Bread, Croissants, Butter, Milk, Eggs, Biscuits, Salt, Pepper, Olive Oil, Bottles of Wine & Water, T-towels, Dishcloth, Washing up liquid, Bleach, Disinfectant and Toilet rolls. An Information Folder has also been prepared for you, containing useful information on local attractions, beaches, places of interest, historical & military sites, etc. Also included is essential information on use of facilities within the cottages, emergency contact numbers etc. A section is included detailing our extensive library of DVDs and Videos (over 400 titles) which are available for your enjoyment, during your holiday.

Discounts on Ferry crossings: Once you have made a booking with us, we are able to give you access to discounts on Brittany Ferries, P&O Ferries, Eurotunnel and SeaFrance. Please contact us for further information. Departure Cleaning Service: Cleaning materials and equipment are provided in the cottage for your use during your stay. However, in preparation for your departure, if you prefer not to clean through the cottage yourselves, we offer a post departure cleaning service for £30. This option is available on the Booking Form. Access to approved Property Searcher: If you are looking to purchase a property in southern Brittany, we can put you in touch with a registered bilingual Property Searcher who can liaise directly with you to determine your requirements prior to. So when you stay with us, you can start looking over the properties that interest you without delay. Our contact will accompany you on viewings and provide advice free of charge.
