About the property
Port Isaac seems to be a favourite village to film in, and has been the centre of dramas’ such as The Shell Seekers, Saving Grace and most recently and highly renowned, Doc Martin. Tides Reach has achieved fame as a part of the filming, where it took the place of The Crab & Lobster Inn exterior. Port Isaac along with Polperro dates back to the fourteenth century, and both went on to become important fishing ports. Port Isaac harbour was dredged and given its protective pier in the Tudor period. The old village itself is un-spoilt, and fisherman land their boats, in centuries old tradition at the foot of Tides Reach, whilst the practice lifeboat launches depart out to sea just feet away.
